What a Santorini Wedding Really Costs

As of 2026, a Santorini wedding typically costs from about €650–900 for a simple symbolic package to €3,500–13,000 for an all-inclusive small wedding; luxury estates run far higher. At AION the venue itself starts at €500 for one hour — flat in every month of the year, with free rescheduling and free consultation.

Where the money actually goes

Every Santorini wedding budget splits into the same five lines: the venue, the paperwork and planning, food and drink, photography and video, and the extras — flowers, music, fireworks, a boat. Couples usually overestimate the venue line and underestimate the extras. Santorini is also, honestly, one of the more affordable famous wedding places in the world: you are paying for the caldera view, not for a resort's overheads — if you choose your venue that way.

We are a Santorini family who have watched wedding prices on this island for more than twenty years. What follows are typical market ranges — labelled as such, not quotes — and exactly how our own pricing works.

Two structural differences work in your favour here. First, most venues price June–September at a premium; our rate does not move with the calendar. Second, many venues charge to move your date; we never have. See the rental packages for what each hour includes.

Why hire a wedding planner if the venue has staff?

If you are marrying here from another country, your paperwork lives under different laws than ours. A Santorini wedding planner takes care of the legal file, points you to vendors who actually show up, and choreographs your day — photographer, music, fireworks, timings. Our own staff coordinate everything that happens at the venue, which for a proposal or a private dinner is usually all you need. For a full wedding, we say it plainly: hire a planner, and we will work alongside them as we always do. The venue is bookable directly or through your planner — see the people we trust.

Questions couples ask us about cost

Where is AION and what does it cost to book?

AION is a private area on the caldera side of Fira, right at the old port, unusually close to the sea — with the sunset, the water and the Nea Kameni volcano in front of you. Rental is from €500 for one hour, €900 for two and €1,300 for three across the Ormos, Aion and Obsidian packages — the lower-middle of the island's range, and the same figure in August as in February.

Does the venue provide dinner and drink packages?

Yes — menus for dinner and drinks are prepared with Chef Iosif, owner of Lomvranos Restaurant, so you can pre-book everything and think about none of it on the day. Every dietary and religious preference is accommodated. Details on the meal packages and drinks packages pages.

Will we see the sunset from the terrace?

Yes — the terrace faces the famous Santorini sunset directly. Couples exchange rings, propose, or simply have dinner as it happens. Timing tips are in our sunset times guide.

Can we do something bigger — a yacht, fireworks?

Being close to sea level, we can pair your evening with a yacht cruise before or after — something the cliff venues cannot offer without a bus transfer. Fireworks and fountain fireworks are venue add-ons for proposals. See the yacht and venue combo guide and fireworks proposals.

Is a low-stress, low-cost Santorini wedding actually possible?

It is — keep the guest list intimate, book a venue with flat pricing, pre-book dinner and drinks per person, and let a planner carry the paperwork. That is the exact formula this terrace was built for. Start with a free consultation: check your date.
