The venue and getting here
These are the questions couples actually send us, answered the way we answer them by email. One subject deliberately lives elsewhere: money. Everything about numbers — venue rates from €500, meals, drinks, the whole budget — has its own page at the Santorini wedding cost guide.
How many guests can the venue hold?
We host intimate events for up to 30 guests. For ceremonies of that size we provide chairs, and umbrellas for shade; around 25 people sit most comfortably when the terrace is set for dinner. And if your party is two, the whole terrace is still yours — most of our evenings are built around one table.
Is the venue hard to reach? Can older guests manage it?
No — this is the question we most enjoy answering. Unlike clifftop venues reached by hundreds of caldera steps, we sit near sea level on the caldera side of Fira. Guests arrive by an easy walk, by the cable car, or by boat — the venue stands at the old port of Fira (Ormos Firon) itself. Grandparents and children make the trip comfortably.
Will we see the sunset from the terrace?
Yes. The terrace looks west over the caldera water, so the famous Santorini sunset happens straight in front of it — during a ceremony, a proposal or a dinner. If you want the sun at a precise point in your evening, we time the booking to golden hour for your date; see the romantic sunset dinner page.
Is it really private?
Exclusively — the whole terrace is yours. We host one event at a time and close the terrace to everyone else: no shared dining room, no other tables, no strangers at your table. It is exclusive use for the evening, never shared. (There is a neighbouring balcony on the caldera, as there is almost everywhere in Fira — what we can promise is that nobody else is on your terrace and there is no crowd.)
Can we arrive by boat, or combine the evening with a yacht cruise?
Both. The old port sits just below Fira and we are close to sea level, so arriving by water is a favourite entrance — George's proposal dinner began exactly that way. We can also plan the evening around a yacht cruise before or after your moment.
Are you open in winter?
Yes — all year round. Winter evenings on the caldera are quiet, clear and startlingly beautiful, and the island feels like it belongs to you. Pricing does not change with the season.

Food, planning and booking
Do your prices rise in high season?
No. Most venue prices on the island climb from June to September; ours stay flat in every month, so you can book without surprises. Rates start at €500 for one hour — see the venue rental packages, and for the full budget picture read the Santorini wedding cost guide.
What happens if we have to reschedule?
Nothing happens to your wallet. Plans change — flights move, weather interferes, life happens — and we do not charge anything to move your booking to another date.
Do you charge for consultation?
No. Email or phone us as often as you like while you plan; we only ever charge for services we actually provide at the venue. Enquiries are free and we usually reply the same day.
Do you handle the food and drinks?
Yes. Menus are created by Chef Iosif, owner of Lomvranos Restaurant, around Aegean cooking and local products. Order à la carte on the night, or pre-book from the meal packages and drinks packages, from welcome drinks to open bar. We cater for all dietary and religious eating preferences.
Do we need a wedding planner?
For proposals and private dinners, our staff coordinate the evening on the day. For full weddings we recommend hiring a planner for the moving parts — music, photographer and videographer timing, fireworks — and we work alongside trusted local planners while our staff assist at the venue.
What add-ons can we book for a proposal?
The most requested are fairy lights, candles, flowers, and fireworks or fountain fireworks. Proposals at ΑΙΩΝ are tailor-made: rather than a separate proposal package, you add options onto your venue rental. See proposals at ΑΙΩΝ.
When can we reach you?
Monday to Sunday, 09:00–21:00 — by email at Info@SantoriniVenue.com, by phone at +30 694 420 4455, or on WhatsApp. Ask us anything; the unusual questions are our favourites.
Asked something we have not covered? Write to us — consultation is free and no question is too small. Start by checking your date.
