A Private Dinner on Our Family Terrace
A private dinner at ΑΙΩΝ means the whole caldera-side terrace in Fira is set for your table alone — for an anniversary, a honeymoon, or no reason at all. Order à la carte on the night or pre-book meal and drinks packages by Chef Iosif of Lomvranos Restaurant. White cloths included, open year-round.

An evening that needs no occasion
We are a Santorini family; this terrace is ours, and for one evening it becomes yours. Most people find us while planning a proposal or a wedding, but some of the evenings we remember best announced nothing at all: a thirtieth anniversary, the last night of a honeymoon, a birthday spent far from home, a fresh engagement that wanted toasting, or a couple who simply decided the island deserved better than a restaurant reservation.
A private dinner here is exactly what the words say. We do not give you a good table — we close the terrace and set the only table. No other tables, no queue at the rail for photographs, nobody else's music. Just the caldera, the dark shape of Nea Kameni volcano, and the Aegean close enough to hear.

What will we eat?
Two ways, both simple. Order à la carte on the night, which suits couples and small groups who like deciding at the table. Or pre-book the evening from the meal packages and menus and the drinks packages, so that when you arrive there is nothing left to decide or pay for.
The menus are put together by Chef Iosif, owner of Lomvranos Restaurant — part of Santorini's history for many years — around Aegean cooking and local products. Tell us about dietary needs or religious eating preferences when you write; the kitchen builds around every type of meal preference. The menus themselves are shared on request when you enquire.

How do we get to the terrace?
Easily — and that surprises people. We sit near sea level on the caldera side of Fira, so there are no hundreds of cliff steps between you and dinner. Walk down the old cobbled path, ride the cable car, or arrive by boat at the old port of Fira (Ormos Firon), which the venue stands right on. Grandparents and children make the trip without drama, which is why family dinners work here as well as dinners for two.
We are open all year round. A July table gets the long gold evening; a February table gets the terrace wrapped in winter light and the island almost to itself — and because our pricing stays flat in every season, neither costs more than the other.
If the dinner is hiding a ring
Some of our dinners carry a secret in a jacket pocket. On the surface nothing changes — the table, the food, the sunset — but underneath it we quietly arrange the moment with you. The dinner proposal page walks through that version of the evening, or look at two real dinners that hid a ring: Ruby's private dinner in paradise, and George's proposal dinner, which arrived by boat.

Booking the terrace
The dinner sits on top of a simple venue rental — see the venue rental packages (Ormos, Aion and Obsidian; from €500, flat all year, free rescheduling). White cloths for the table and chairs are included. If you want the sun as your main course, read how we time tables on the romantic sunset dinner page — then check your date. Consultation by email or phone is free, and we host one party per evening, so summer dates go early.
