Yes — fireworks displays are one of ΑΙΩΝ's proposal add-ons. Because the venue is fully private, the display over the caldera is arranged for your evening alone: propose, then watch the sky answer. Fountain fireworks are the quieter alternative. Both are added onto your venue rental; rates from €500, flat all year.

How does a fireworks proposal work at ΑΙΩΝ?
Fireworks here are not a stunt bolted onto a public evening — they are one of our proposal add-ons, arranged on top of a venue rental package the same way as fairy lights, candles and flowers. You book the private terrace, we plan the display with you, and on the night it is cued to your moment: the question, the yes, and then the caldera sky opening above you.
Privacy is what makes it land. ΑΙΩΝ hosts one couple's event at a time on the caldera side of Fira, so the display is not a hotel's entertainment or a festival you happen to catch — it is addressed to the two of you, over your table, at your minute. Anyone else in Fira who looks up is just audience to your evening.
Fireworks or fountain fireworks — which suits you?
A fireworks display is the grand version: bursts over the water, colour thrown across the caldera, a finale you feel in your chest. Fountain fireworks are the quiet version — columns of gold sparks rising around the terrace rather than exploding above it, closer to candlelight than to thunder. Couples who want the spectacle without the bang choose the fountains; plenty of couples choose both, fountains framing the question and the sky display crowning the celebration after it.
An honest word about fireworks displays
We arrange fireworks as venue add-ons, evening by evening — we do not promise the sky unconditionally. A display depends on the weather on the night, wind above all, and it is run with respect for local rules and for the neighbourhood around the old port. When you enquire with a date we will tell you plainly what can be arranged for it; and if conditions turn against the plan, our free-rescheduling policy covers the whole evening, fireworks included.
How long a rental does a fireworks evening need?
Long enough for the sky to darken. A display reads best against real night, so we usually point fireworks couples toward the longer rentals — the two-hour Aion or the three-hour Obsidian — which let the evening hold sunset, dinner and the display in sequence, without hurrying any of them. In the darker months the timing can work on a one-hour Ormos rental too. Tell us your date and we will tell you what the sky will be doing that night, and which package fits it.
Make an evening of it
Fireworks are the exclamation mark; the sentence is the evening around them. Most couples start with the light — a proposal timed to the sunset — then sit down to dinner by Chef Iosif of Lomvranos Restaurant as dusk settles, and let the display open once the sky is properly dark. Champagne and glasses come with every rental, and the Aegean carries the echo out toward the Nea Kameni volcano.
