A micro wedding at AION is a full wedding kept to the people who matter — up to 30 guests on our private terrace in Fira. We provide the ceremony chairs and umbrellas for shade, the arch comes with the Obsidian package, and afterwards everyone sits down together at one long table for dinner.

What counts as a micro wedding?
Somewhere between an elopement and the wedding your spreadsheet was starting to dread. Not two people — your people: parents, grandparents, siblings, the friends who would be offended to miss it. On our terrace that means a ceremony of up to 30 guests, and it is the size this venue was made for. Thirty is enough for the moment to feel witnessed, and few enough that everyone shares one table afterwards instead of scattering across a numbered seating plan.

Why does Santorini suit a small guest list?
Because the island itself does the decorating. With 15 or 25 guests you do not need a ballroom's worth of production to fill a room — you need one good terrace, and the caldera, the Aegean and the volcano do the rest. A micro wedding also survives Santorini's practicalities better than a big one: fewer transfers across the island, fewer hotel blocks, and — because we sit close to sea level rather than at the top of hundreds of cliff steps — grandparents and small children arrive by an easy walk, the cable car, or even by boat to the old port right beside us.
One ceremony, then one table
The afternoon starts as a ceremony: rows of chairs facing the water, umbrellas up while the sun is still strong, and — with the Obsidian package — the arch dressed in white curtains. While your photographer walks you along the caldera for portraits, we reset the terrace behind you. Chairs regroup, the long table is laid with white cloths (included, chairs and tables both), candles are lit. When you come back, the wedding has become a dinner party — the good kind, where nobody has to leave the view.
How does dinner work for thirty?
Simply, if you pre-book. The menus are created by Chef Iosif, owner of Lomvranos Restaurant, and cover every dietary and religious preference at the table — tell us who eats what and the kitchen plans around them. Most couples pre-order meal and drinks packages so the evening flows without a bill in sight; smaller groups sometimes prefer à la carte. What will a micro wedding cost?
Venue rates start at €500 for an hour, flat in every month — high season costs the same as low — and rescheduling is free. The Ormos, Aion and Obsidian packages show exactly what one, two or three hours of the terrace includes; ceremony chairs and umbrellas for up to 30 guests are provided.
